We attach great importance to openness and transparency regarding this processing. The policy below explains how Plesners Badehotel processes the personal data collected in connection with your stay and your use of the hotel's website, including www.plesnersbadehotel.dk.
Personal data covers all kinds of information that can be attributed to you. When you use our website, we collect and process various information. This happens, among other things, during ordinary interactions such as signing up for newsletters, participating in competitions or surveys, registering as a user/subscriber or when purchasing and using our services.
Typically, we collect and process the following information: a unique ID, technical data about your device (computer, tablet or mobile phone), IP address, geographical location and the pages you visit. If you give explicit consent and enter information yourself, we also process your name, phone number, email, address and payment information, e.g. when creating a login or purchasing on the website.
Plesners Badehotel collects and processes personal data about you in connection with your visit to Plesners Badehotel and our restaurant as well as when you use our website and sign up for our newsletter. You will always be informed in connection with the collection of your personal data. This personal data will often be name, address, e-mail address, telephone number, date of birth, credit information and information about your stay at Plesners Badehotel.
In connection with the deviation of data, it will always be stated whether the provision of data is voluntary or necessary for the completion of the requested action, such as booking a stay with us.
The information is generally collected directly from you, but we may also receive information from other sources, including independent booking service providers such as booking.com.
Plesners Badehotel processes personal data with you for the following purposes:
In order to complete the booking of hotel stays or restaurant visits, we process data about you to 1) process your request and verify availability, 2) complete the booking and 3) send you a receipt.
In this connection, we may process information such as name, email address, telephone number, information about accompanying guests and arrival and departure dates.
When you book accommodation or restaurant visits via our websites, your credit card details are processed by our payment provider.
The basis for the processing is Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation, as the personal data is necessary to process in order to fulfill the agreement with you. Information about any accompanying guests is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in fulfilling the agreement with you, cf. Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation.
Stay at Plesners Badehotel
Plesners Badehotel processes and stores data about you in connection with your stay with us and offers you the services that you may have ordered during your stay with us. Our basis for this processing is the fulfillment of the agreement regarding your stay, cf. above.
For all other services, we will collect and process your data based on our legitimate interest in providing you with the best possible experience during your stay with us at Plesners Badehotel and the best possible service in connection with any future stays, cf. Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation.
In some cases, we are required to ask you to present your ID in the form of a passport or similar photo documentation. We process data on the basis of Article 6(1)(c) of the General Data Protection Regulation, as we are legally obliged to carry out this processing.
Digital Guest
During your hotel stay with us, you can find relevant information about your stay, including reception opening hours, WiFi code, parking information, etc. in our web-based app, Digital Guest.
If you use Digital Guest, we may process information about your name, phone number, email address, room number, date of arrival and information about your bookings.
The basis for the processing is Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation, as the processing is carried out to fulfill the agreement with you on the provision of services made available in Digital Guest and our legitimate interest in giving you the best experience during your stay at Plesners Badehotel, cf. Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation.
Marketing and newsletters
If we have received your prior consent, Plesners Badehotel will process your personal data to send you emails and newsletters from Plesners Badehotel with, among other things, information about new events and special prices on stays at Plesners Badehotel. If you do not wish to receive these emails and newsletters at any time, you can unsubscribe by contacting info@plesnersbadehotel.dk or by using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of our newsletter. The basis for processing is your consent, cf. Article 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation,
We use Facebook pixels to collect data about your behavior on our website. The purpose of the collection is to target our marketing on Facebook to visitors who have visited our website and who also have a Facebook profile. The same applies to Instagram and LinkedIn. This processing is based on Plesners Badehotel's legitimate interest in being able to show you relevant offers and news, cf. Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation.
Customer inquiries and communication
When you contact Plesners Badehotel, we collect and process the information you provide in order to process your inquiry. We encourage you not to provide us with sensitive personal data unless it is strictly necessary for the processing of your inquiry. In this regard, information should only be sent in an encrypted form if you send it by e-mail.
Our basis for processing depends on the nature of your inquiry. However, the basis will often be that the processing is necessary prior to entering into a contract, cf. Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation or our legitimate interest in handling your request, cf. Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation.
Using the website
Plesners Badehotel has access to information about visitors to the website and the visitors' use of the website and its functions.
When you have visited Plesners Badehotel's website, we collect the following information about you:
This information is used to gain knowledge about the users' use of the website and to improve the website. We also use data about all our users' navigation to understand how our users as a group use the website and try to improve the website on this basis. We cannot see where you come from or surf the internet when you leave our site. In addition, we collect information about which products our users, as an aggregate group, prefer. This information is also used to improve the website.
The personal data collected is processed on the basis of the Plesners Badehotel's legitimate interest in pursuing the aforementioned purpose, cf. Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.
Recruitment
If you send an application to Plesners Badehotel via our website, we collect the personal data about you that you provide in connection with the submission of your application, CV and any attachments etc. in order to evaluate your application.
The basis for our processing of your personal data is your application to enter into an employment contract with Plesners Badehotel, cf. Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR, and our legitimate interest in processing the personal data you have provided to us, cf. Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.
We recommend that your application does not contain sensitive personal data, such as personal data revealing racial or ethnic background, religion, trade union membership, sexuality, health information, etc.

Other purposes
In addition to the above purposes, Plesners Badehotel may also process your personal data in order to comply with legal requirements, cf. Article 6(1)(c) of the GDPR or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, cf. Article 6(1)(f) and Article 9(2)(f) of the GDPR.
Data about your use of the website, which ads you receive and possibly click on, geographic location, gender and age segment, etc. is disclosed to third parties to the extent that the information is known and if we use third parties. You can see which third parties are involved in the Cookies section above. The data is used for targeted advertising.
In some cases, Plesners Badehotel may transfer your personal data to Plesners Badehotel's suppliers who provide services on behalf of Plesners Badehotel, e.g. in connection with the delivery of the booking system, the Digital Guest solution, newsletters, customer satisfaction surveys and recruitment solutions. These suppliers and third parties only process personal data on behalf of Plesners Badehotel and in accordance with Plesners Badehotel's instructions and cannot process personal data for their own purposes.
Under certain circumstances and by law, it may be necessary to disclose personal data to the authorities, cf. Article 6(1)(c) of the General Data Protection Regulation. Disclosure may also occur if it is necessary for the performance of an agreement to which you are a party, for example in connection with booking a trip. We may also disclose your personal data in order to establish, exercise or defend our legal rights, cf. Article 6(1)(f) and Article 9(2)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation. We may also disclose your personal data to external auditors to comply with our audit obligation, cf. Article 6(1)(c) of the General Data Protection Regulation.
Our website may contain links to other websites or to integrated websites. We are not responsible for the content of other companies' websites or their personal data collection practices. When you visit other websites, you are encouraged to read the privacy policy of the owner and other relevant policies.
Plesners Badehotel ensures the necessary updating of the stored data so that the personal data is correct at all times.
Your personal data will be deleted when it is no longer necessary for Plesners Badehotel to process or store it for the above purposes or on the basis of another legitimate purpose.
The personal data we have registered about you in connection with visits to our restaurant will be stored until 380 days from the last visit. Guest data collected in connection with booking and staying at Plesners Badehotel hotels will be stored until 380 days from the last stay. However, data in the Digital Guest solution will be deleted 7 days after the end of the stay. The retention periods are based on our legitimate interest in providing customer service and handling any legal claims.
Documentation of your marketing consent is stored for 2 years from the time you have withdrawn your consent to receive direct marketing material. The retention period is based on Plesners Badehotel's legitimate interest in being able to document that direct marketing has taken place in accordance with applicable legislation.
Personal data included in accounting material is stored for 5 years + 6 months from the end of the financial year, after which the data is deleted. The retention period is determined on the basis of the retention requirements in section 10 of the Bookkeeping Act and is therefore done in order to comply with applicable legislation.
Personal data collected in connection with recruitment is stored during the recruitment process. If we cannot offer you a position, we will store your application, CV and any attachments for a period of 6 months after our rejection, unless you have given your consent for longer storage.
However, the data may be stored for a longer period than stated above if it is required by law or if it is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims. The data may also be stored longer in anonymized form, i.e. in a form where it will no longer be possible to relate the data to you.
We process your personal data securely and confidentially in accordance with applicable legislation, including the Personal Data Regulation and the Data Protection Act.
Your data will only be used for the purpose for which it was collected and will be deleted when this purpose is fulfilled or is no longer relevant.
We have taken technical and organizational measures to prevent your data from being accidentally or illegally deleted, published, lost, impaired or disclosed to unauthorized persons, misused or otherwise processed in violation of the law.
You have the right to know what personal data we process about you in a common format (data portability). You can also object to the use of your data at any time. You can also withdraw your consent to the processing of your data. If the data processed about you is incorrect, you have the right to have it corrected or deleted. If you no longer wish us to process your personal data or if you wish us to restrict the processing of your personal data, you can also send us a request to the above-mentioned e-mail address.
